Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore who has featured in iconic films across languages, in a recent conversation with mid-day.com, recalled her favourites songs by Lata Mangeshkar who passed away earlier this year.

Sharmila said, "Lataji sung so many songs for me in films like ‘Kora Kagaz’ (Aradhana) 'Hum Aur Tum’ (Daag) 'Raina Beeti Jaaye' (Amar Prem) and 'Chanda Hai Tu, Mera Sooraj Hai Tu' from ‘Aradhana’, which my granddaughter (Inaaya Naumi Kemmu ) sings now. She puts on the television and is mesmerised by that song. My personal favourite is 'Kuch Dil Ne Kaha' from ‘Anupama.'"
Meanwhile, her birthday this year was all about family celebrations in the middle of the desert with the whole Pataudi clan in Jaisalmer. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Ali Khan shared a few precious family moments that they captured on camera.
Soha Ali Khan shared a series of pictures where the entire could be seen posing for the pictures together. Soha also shared a picture of daughter Inaaya following Taimur going for a walk. Saba shared a picture that was captioned 'Let's feed cake to mumma! Bhai v/s me.'
Kareena shared a picture with Sharmila and captioned it, “Happy birthday to my gorgeous mother-in-law.” Sharing a picture with Taimur, she wrote, “Coffee in the desert.”
