After a string of clean-shaven looks, Ishwak sports grunge avatar in Berlin that also stars Aparshakti
A still from the film
Ishwak Singh of Rocket Boys (2022) fame has largely played goody-two-shoes characters so far. Which is why he relished the idea of essaying an undercover spy in director Atul Sabharwal’s Berlin. In keeping with his role, the actor will be seen sporting a grunge avatar.

For Singh, perfecting the look is the first step to embracing the character. He elaborates, “A police officer feels empowered when he puts on his uniform. Ditto a businessman who gets into his suit before an important meeting. [Similarly], for me, the look of any character is important. I focus on the physicality and psyche of the character as part of my prep. But what also adds to the X factor is the right look. In Berlin, we have it on point.” Since the espionage thriller is set in the ’90s,
the styling is reminiscent of the era.
The upcoming movie also marks a change of pace for Aparshakti Khurana, who is often seen in happy-go-lucky roles. He will flaunt a moustachioed look as he essays the role of a sign language expert, who gets into the vortex of rivalry, deceit and corruption, as he joins an intelligence agency.
