Shahid Kapoor joined wife Mira Rajput to amplify the COVID-19 relief fund-raiser started by her sister and brother-in-law, Noor and Mohnish Wadhwani. Mira hosted a session on Instagram to explain how Breathe For India and the Billion Breath Movement will help raise funds, along with the NGO, Give India, to increase the supply of oxygen cylinders and accelerate virus relief work.

On the work-front, Kapoor has a web-series coming up directed by the duo Raj and DK. He also has the Jersey remake up. The film, also starring Sasha’s father, Pankaj Kapur, and Mrunal Thakur, chronicles the story of a talented but failed cricketer who decides to return to the field. The sports drama releases during Diwali on November 5. It is clashing at the box office with Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s historical, Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. In the movie's Hindi remake, Shahid will be seen essaying the role of a cricket player. He had recently wrapped up shooting for the film.
