Beginner’s luck
In my college days in Delhi, I was busy modelling. Some of thepictures got published in a magazine, which were noticed by a production house. They got in touch with me and I came to Mumbai for an audition. I shot for 13 episodes of the show but unfortunately the show never went on air. However, it gave me a start and I found good work with shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, Godh Bharai, Mili and Phulwa.
Life’s lessons learnt
Television has been a great learning experience. From acting to dealing with people, it has taught me many lessons. This industry has both good and bad people. My initial days here were a little bitter, I was not paid for my first show. But I soon learnt to deal with different people and situations. However, I am thankful to this industry because I found my wife Aditi here (smiles).
Dream role
I would love to play a real life character like Milkha Singh, but such challenging roles rarely happen on television. I am hoping against hope that I get something interesting and unconventional.
Leisure time
My wife and I are busy with our respective work. There are times when we don’t even meet in the day, since Aditi is busy with her ad films while I am on the sets. But when time permits, she comes over on my sets. If we are at home then we catch up on a breakfast date followed by meeting friends over lunch.
I am also into outdoor sports like cricket, squash and badminton. I enjoy photography and always carry a camera with me. Of course, Aditi has to be there in almost all photos.u00a0
