However, buzz is that director Ahmed Khan’s hyper-stylised actioner is nowhere near completion. The makers don’t want to lose out on the advantage of a festival weekend, and are racing against time to complete post-production. Sources say that if things don’t go as per plan, the movie’s release might be deferred. That sounds like an unexpected advantage for Ajay Devgn, whose Runway 34, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, will become the solo release of the weekend.

Minus Bachchan and Panday
How did Bachchhan Paandey’s makers arrive at the title? Akshay Kumar joked that he came up with the name when he saw Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Panday together at the Housefull 4 party. Now, director Farhad Samji has revealed that he had included the actors, by way of images, in the film. A scene had Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi’s characters asking a boy if he has seen Bachchhan Paandey. The boy says yes, and pulls out a magazine with pictures of Abhishek and Chunky. Umm... Thankfully, the not-so-funny scene has been left out of the final cut.
