On his 46th birthday, Abhishek Bachchan announced his second film, Ghoomar with R Balki. The two had earlier come together for Paa (2008). The actor shared a picture from the muhurat of the film and wrote, “Can’t ask for a better birthday present! Birthdays are best spent, working. Ghoomar Now spinning!” It is clearly a working birthday for Jr Bachchan. The actor will also be seen in the film Dasvi, bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan.

OG Franka Potente!

German actor Franka Potente, who played the lead in the movie Run Lola Run, gave a shout to Taapsee Pannu and the team for the film’s Hindi adaptation, Looop Lapeta. The 1998 original featured Potente, of The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Conjuring 2 and Anatomy fame, opposite Moritz Bleibtreu. She sent Pannu her best wishes in a video message. “It is so exciting that you’re shooting a remake of Run Lola Run after all these years. I am honoured. Good luck to Taapsee, I’m sure you’ll be amazing. I can’t wait to see the film,” the actor, 47, said. Pannu shared the video on Twitter and expressed her gratitude. 

Things just got critical

Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar’s health has deteriorated. She has been put back on a ventilator, on Saturday, informed a doctor treating her. The singer, 92, was admitted on January 8 to Breach Candy Hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) after testing positive for COVID with mild symptoms. “She is not doing well. She continues to be in the ICU under treatment and has been put on a ventilator again,” Dr Pratit Samdani informed. Mangeshkar was taken off the ventilator on January 29 as she showed signs of improvement, but the latest development has got everyone worried.

Under lock and key?

Ekta Kapoor recently announced her first reality show on OTT with Kangana Ranaut as the host. Sources claim that among the 16 celebrity contestants, Poonam Pandey is the first one to be locked for the show, Lock Upp. Kapoor explained that the show will be unlike other reality shows. Wonder if that was a dig at Bigg Boss?

Making it obvious?

The paparazzi have already spotted them holding hands. There has been buzz about Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad winging their way to Goa together too. On Friday, the duo was spotted on lunch date in Bandra. Saba tried to avoid the photographers by covering her face. Not that it worked! Guess the cat is out of the bag. Seems like the couple is no longer keen on keeping the relationship on the down-low.
