What an idea!
Industry buzz is that Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s yet untitled film with director Nitesh Tiwari revolves around the idea of ‘trophy wife syndrome’. Apparently, the Kalank actor plays a small-town guy who marries a gorgeous city girl, essayed by the Dhadak actor, with the notion that having her as his missus will make him a subject of envy among his peers and also improve his social standing in society. Our source states that Nitesh’s treatment of the twist in the tale is bound to make it even more relatable. Nice!
Quit and come back
Aamir Khan has revealed in a recent interview that he had quit acting and filmmaking during the lockdown that was enforced in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. The actor had informed his family of his decision, saying he wanted to just spend his time with them. Though shocked, his family didn’t argue with him. Since he only features in one film every three to four years, he thought he wouldn’t be asked about his next project after Laal Singh Chaddha and he’ll gradually disappear from the limelight. However, one day, his children asked him to reconsider his decision. Fortunately, better sense prevailed and Aamir, who, in his heart and mind, had quit films, understood the point of view of his children and ex wife Kiran Rao. And he discarded his earlier decision of quitting and opted to stay put in the movies.
