Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha's wedding is reportedly taking place later this month. According to reports, it will be a week-long celebration which will end with a reception on September 30
Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha
Ever since Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha got engaged in May this year, speculations have been rife about their wedding date and venue. While Rajasthan was always the chosen state for the celebrations, latest reports indicate that the actor and her politician fiancé are set to take the pheras in Udaipur. Apparently, The Leela Palace and Oberoi Udaivillas have been booked for the big fat Punjabi wedding. Given Raghav’s political stature and the dignitaries on his guest list, security arrangements are expected to be extra-tight while ensuring complete privacy of the attendees at the same time. The pre-wedding festivities including haldi, mehendi and sangeet are slated to begin on September 23. After the pheras in the lake city, the couple are said to head to the capital. They are planning grand receptions in Delhi and Mumbai, but the dates and venues aren’t known at this point in time. According to the invite, a picture of which has gone viral on social media, Pari and Raghav will have a lunch reception in Chandigarh on September 30.

Southside history next
It appears that the debacle of Panipat hasn’t dampened Ashutosh Gowariker’s spirits. The filmmaker’s passion for historicals continues unabated as he is said to head south for his next. Reportedly, Ashu is making a period drama based on one of the biggest rulers of south India with Kantara star, Rishab Shetty. Vishnu Induri, producer of 83 and Thalaivii, is backing this ambitious project. Apparently, Ashu wanted an actor from the south to portray the rustic protagonist who goes on to become an emperor, and Rishabh perfectly fit the bill. The filmmaker and his team is currently absorbed with the research, writing and pre-production for the yet-untitled movie that goes on floors later next year. They will soon begin casting suitable actors from the south for the various character parts. By then, Rishabh will complete Kantara 2 and be better prepared to begin Ashu’s epic drama.
Kaun banega Kishore?
It is known for quite some years that Ranbir Kapoor and director Anurag Basu were to team up for the biopic of Kishore Kumar. While things didn’t pan out as planned, the movie still remains on their to-do list. Interestingly, Ranbir is not the only actor who is keen to portray the late legendry singer-actor on screen. In a recent interview, Ayushmann Khurrana revealed that he would love to do Kishore da’s biopic.
Admitting that he is a big fan of the multi-faceted icon, Ayushmann reportedly said, “Kishore Kumar was quirky, crazy, supremely talented, and full of life. It will be exciting for me to do that [a biopic on him]. I have been manifesting this for three years. So, let’s see if that happens.” Guess, only time will tell if Ayushmann’s dream will come true or Basu and RK will beat him to it.
