Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Vishal Bhardwaj
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who moved to Los Angeles after her December 2018 wedding with American singer-actor Nick Jonas, landed in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. This is her first visit to the bay after three years and we hear that PCJ will pack in quite a few work meetings during this short trip. The actor, whose last Hindi release was The Sky Is Pink (2019), is said to be meeting filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bhardwaj to discuss possible collaborations. She goes back a long way with the auteurs. While she worked with Bhardwaj on Kaminey (2009) and 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), she teamed up with SLB on his production Mary Kom (2014), and his directorial venture Bajirao Mastani (2015). Months before her wedding, she was in talks with the latter for a role in his Sahir Ludhianvi biopic, but things didn’t materialise. Apparently, Bhardwaj and SLB have discussed some subjects with PCJ, who is hoping to take things forward this time around.

Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad, who have been dating for a while, often show their love and affection for each other on social media. Saba turned a year older yesterday, and the Super 30 actor shared a special message on social media to mark the occasion. Along with a picture of Saba from a concert, Hrithik wrote, “The rhythm of you, the voice of you, the grace of you, the heart of you… and oh that insanely amazing mind of you… melody in motion girl, that’s what you are.” He concluded his post, saying, “Thank you for existing, you quirky crazy nutty anomaly of a human being. Happy Birthday!”
Khans’ getaway
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have struck a perfect balance in spending time with their sons, Taimur and Jeh. When one of them is away on work, the other spends time with the little munchkins. Bebo, who is currently in London, shooting for her next with director Hansal Mehta, has taken younger son Jeh along. On the other hand, Saif, who had some time off, opted to go on a holiday with elder son Taimur. The father-son duo are making the most of their vacay in the Maldives. Whether they are snorkelling in clear waters, spending quality time amidst nature, reading, cycling or just enjoying each other’s company, the endearing images of Saif and Taimur are a reminder of the importance of striking that work-life balance in our lives too.

A spooky new adventure
A couple of weeks ago, rumours were rife that Sanjay Dutt was planning an action film to be produced in association with Deepak Mukut. Now, it turns out that the two are teaming up for a horror comedy. Can’t blame them considering B-Town’s fascination for the genre in recent years. Interestingly, their collaboration is a sci-fi horror comedy. Yesterday, Sanju shared the first look of the film, titled The VirGin Tree, on his social media, saying, “Love does teach how to turn a blind eye, even to life and death!” Helmed by Siddhant Sachdev, the film stars Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh and Palak Tiwari, besides Sanju. Shooting for the movie begins this week. Interestingly, this is Palak’s second film and like her debut, is also produced by a senior actor. Even as she is working on her Bollywood debut, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (KKBKKJ), the newbie will simultaneously shoot for The VirGin Tree. It appears that until she wraps up KKBKKJ by December, Palak will be juggling the entertainer and the sci-fi horror comedy.
