Ishq da chooda
Katrina Kaif continues to share a glimpse of her wedding festivities. In her latest Instagram post, she showcased her mehendi-adorned hands and choodas. She inscribed groom Vicky Kaushal’s name within the intricate henna design. The photograph against the backdrop of the sea made it easy to guess that the couple took off for a beach honeymoon from their destination wedding in Rajasthan. The buzz is that they headed to the Maldives.
The real and the unreal
Even before Parineeti Chopra makes her small screen debut as a judge on Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan, alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Karan Johar, she is getting a taste of how reality shows operate. She shared a screengrab of a tweet posted by an online channel for kids, claiming Chopra will also judge their show. The actor called it an “absolute sham” and wrote, “I am not associated with this show. I request you to kindly remove my name and not take advantage of kids and parents in this way.” The channel replied, “We have been in touch with your manager for three months. You have mentioned you are happy to come on board and want to meet us face-to-face.” There appears to be more drama in this than in reality shows.
All I want for Christmas
As the countdown to Christmas begins, Anushka Sharma shared what she wants Santa Claus to gift her amid the concern about the Omicron variant of the virus. She reposted fashion stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania’s Instagram Story, which had a photograph of a chocolate cake, with ‘All I want for Christmas is the end of COVID’ written on it. “Yes... please,” Sharma captioned the post. The actor will celebrate the festival and ring in 2022 in South Africa. She is accompanying Virat Kohli for the Test series against the Proteas.
Insta official?
While chatter about them being a twosome continues, Sussanne Khan’s latest post for her rumoured beau Arslan Goni will further fuel speculation. On Sunday, the actor turned a year older. Khan’s birthday greeting read, “You are the most beautiful energy that I have ever come across.” Goni replied, “You are just amazing... love you.” A section of netizens wondered if they had made their relationship official on Instagram.
Sallu’s charm
Over the weekend, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty Kundra winged their way to Jaipur to attend the wedding festivities of politician Praful Patel’s son Prajay. He tied the knot with Shivika Punglia at Rambagh Palace. Several videos have been doing the rounds in which the stars can be shaking a leg to chartbusters, Jumme ki raat and Sauda khara khara. The superstar was in his element, and his infectious energy even made the NCP leader shake a leg with him.
Emotional moment
Tahir Raj Bhasin plays Sunil Gavaskar in the World Cup cricket drama, 83. He is keen to watch Kabir Khan’s directorial venture with parents, Rajan and Gauri. “My parents had goosebumps when they saw the trailer. Dad got emotional about reliving India’s magnificent win over the mighty West Indies at Lord’s,” says the actor. “I don’t think I will be able to fight back my emotions while watching the film,” adds Bhasin, who is confident that 83 will pull the audience back to the theatres.
Simply positive
Mohit Kumar will headline the upcoming show, Sab Satrangi. He plays Manu, a youngster from Lucknow. “He always looks at the positive side in every situation, something not so common to find in today’s day and age,” says Kumar, who earlier featured on Ek Duuje Ke Vaaste 2. “His personality has the quality to move people, and that’s what is going to attract the audience towards him,” he adds.
Double trouble
A new twist in Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na sees Anjali Tatrari play a dual role. She plays the protagonist, Krisha Chaturvedi, the simple girl who weds a royal heir. The upcoming track will feature a new character, Maya, her lookalike. “The shooting is keeping me on my toes. There are times when I have just finished an intense, crying sequence as the vulnerable Krisha, and then, I have to get into the chic avatar of the headstrong Maya,” says Tatrari.
Work mode
Kundali Bhagya actor Dheeraj Dhoopar turns a year older today. The actor always takes a day off on his big day to be with family and friends. But this time it will be a working birthday as he is travelling to Chandigarh for a shoot. Though playing Karan Luthra on Ekta Kapoor’s long-running daily keeps him busy, the actor plans to combine a belated birthday celebration with a year-end break in the snowy terrains of the north.
