If not for the surname, you won’t look at them twice: Nia
Nia Sharma took a jab at Bollywood’s star-kids stating that there is nothing remarkable about them. She questioned whether anyone would “look at them twice” without their famous surnames. In a radio interview, she reportedly said, “Somebody has the audacity to tell me I am not ready for Bollywood. When you see a Bollywood star kid’s face, [do you think] they are ready? Have they seen them? [If you] take the name [away], will you look at them twice? I am sorry, but [that’s] the reality.”
All fun and games

Who’s the boss?
Constantly prodded about his marriage plans, Salman Khan decided to address them at the Bigg Boss 15 press conference. Calling his association with the long-running show the only “pavitra rishta” in his life, he drew parallels between him and Bigg Boss, highlighting that they are both single. “That’s why we think we are the bosses,” he quipped.
Cooking up stories
Chunky Pandey poked fun at Ananya Panday’s culinary skills (or the lack of them). In an interview, he spoke of how his daughter “has cooked up some nice stories, but never food.” He also made light of the fact that his wife Bhavana too couldn’t whip up a meal, and narrated how his in-laws lied to him about her cooking skills before their marriage.

Better late than never
Although easily the favourite superstar of media folk, Shah Rukh Khan is notoriously infamous for arriving (extremely) late for interviews. Turns out, he keeps industry folk waiting too. Khan’s friend Juhi Chawla recently shared, “Whenever there is a party at our house, we always invite [him]. Once, I had called him, and everyone, especially the staff, was excited that he was coming. I told him to come by 11 pm. He said he would be slightly late. He came at 2.30 am. By then, the staff had left, I was asleep, the food was over.”
Who, me? Yes, you!
Jackie Shroff shared that he picked up his signature Bhidu catchphrase from one of Amitabh Bachchan’s films. Sharing the details on a yet-to-air episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, Shroff responded to Bachchan’s question on where he got his “Bhidu” accent from. “Sir, you have [taught] us this language. You’ve taught us a good way to speak as well. But, this ‘Mumbai-ki-bhasha’ has been given to us by you.”
Fair point?
A national anti-tobacco organisation has urged Amitabh Bachchan to withdraw from an advertising campaign promoting pan masala, saying that the move would help wean away youngsters from getting hooked on to tobacco addiction. In a letter to Bachchan, the organisation’s president highlighted the damage caused by its consumption, and said that as a government brand ambassador for the high-profile pulse polio campaign, Bachchan should avoid promoting the brand.
