Netizens called out Deepika Padukone's's distasteful move

Have you heard? Deepika Padukone unarchives wedding photos on Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif's big day

Deepika Padukone

On Thursday, almost a year after Deepika Padukone archived all her old Instagram posts, her wedding pictures popped up on the photo-sharing app. She tied the knot with Ranveer Singh in Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018. That Padukone chose Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s big day to re-share her wedding snapshots did not go unnoticed. “Deepika Padukone, this is not your moment... let bride Katrina Kaif shine,” wrote an angry netizen.

“Insecure to unarchive this now,” a user commented. “Jealousy at its peak,” read another comment. Padukone and Kaif have a history. The two shared frosty vibes since 2009 when Ranbir Kapoor allegedly cheated on then-girlfriend Padukone with Kaif. In a bid to bury the hatchet, Kat had attended DeepVeer’s wedding reception. Couldn’t Dippy have acted better by not making such a distasteful move?

10 ka dum

Parineeti Chopra has clocked a decade in the industry. Her debut feature, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, was released on December 9, 2011. Now, she is in no mood to “play safe” as Pari feels she has just started her journey. The actor is looking forward to her next decade in Bollywood. “I’m loving the kind of offers that are coming my way. Directors are seeing me in a new light and offering me the kind of work I always wanted to do,” says Chopra. She will next be seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai.

Neha leaves VicKat wedding mid-way

Neha Dhupia left the VicKat wedding festivities in Rajasthan mid-way and returned to Mumbai on Thursday. The actor attended a pre-Christmas event at a toy store at Bandra-Kurla Complex later in the day. She chose to wing her way back as she was committed to attending the event. Dhupia had earlier posted that she was missing her kids and was travelling without them for the first time. Husband Angad Bedi stayed back to witness VicKat exchange wedding vows.

Jacqueline’s grilling continues

Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in New Delhi for another round of questioning on Thursday. The federal agency summoned the actor again in connection with a money-laundering investigation involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She spent about seven hours at the ED on Wednesday to decipher the trail of transactions allegedly linked to her.

Day out with doggies

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s pets, Dino, Panda and Diana, accompanied her to the shoot of the action-thriller, Citadel, at Hyde Park, London. It was a ‘Bring your pups to work day’ on the set of Russo Brothers’ web series. The pooches lead a jet-setting life and often travel with PeeCee to her shoots at exotic destinations. Diana had earlier accompanied the actor to Spain.

Stepping into Bollywood

South actor Rahman makes his Bollywood debut with the Tiger Shroff-starrer Ganapath. He has been shooting for Vikas Bahl’s directorial venture in London. Rahman undertook an extensive prep session, including learning Hindi for three months, before starting work on the high-octane actioner. Rahman, who features in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, is related to music maestro AR Rahman. His wife, Meher, is AR Rahman’s wife, Saira Banu’s sister.

Trail of destruction

It takes Krrip Kapur Suri almost two hours to get ready to play the demonic character, Asura Andhak, in the mythological Baal Shiv. “He is determined to conquer the world and does everything in his power to acquire it,” says the actor. From the headgear to the flowing mane and the elaborate attire, Suri feels he looks more royal than deadly.

Power games

Last seen in Piyaa Albela, Avinash Wadhawan is the latest addition to Aggar Tum Na Hote. He plays Gajendra Panday, a power broker based in Uttar Pradesh. “There are different layers to my character. He is aggressive and ruthless to the outside world, but at the same time, concerned about his family’s well-being,” says Wadhawan, who featured in the web series, State of Siege: 26/11.
