A case has been filed against several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Anupam Kher and Rakul Preet Singh, for revealing the name of the woman, who was sexually assaulted, killed and her body set on fire on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The 2019 horrific act had sparked outrage across the nation. The complaint has been filed by a Delhi-based lawyer Gaurav Gulati at the Sabzi Mandi police station. He has also filed a petition in the Tees Hazari Court alleging that the celebrities “were not being responsible citizens.” He accused them of disclosing the identity despite the law prohibiting it. The case has been filed as the stars “instead of setting an example for others” have broken the rule in their social media posts. Some South film folk, including Ravi Teja, Allu Sirish and Charmme Kaur, have also been named in the case.

Mammootty’s milestone birthday
South icon Mammootty clocked 70 years on Tuesday.Son Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday wish was “may you always age in reverse.” Several stars extended greetings to the Malayalam superstar on his landmark year, including Kamal Haasan, Suresh Gopi and Mohanlal. Haasan, 66, could not believe that Mammootty had turned 70. He thought that he would be of his age or younger. In a video message, Haasan said, “May you be able to maintain this energy and youth. All the best to this senior citizen from another senior citizen.”
The travelling sisters
With time on hand in-between films, Taapsee Pannu has taken off to Goa with sister Shagun. She is the actor’s travel buddy. In June, the two explored Moscow. Akshay seeks prayers for ailing mother
Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to urge everyone to pray for mother Aruna Bhatia’s speedy recovery. “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help,” he posted on Tuesday night. Kumar flew back to Mumbai from London after his mother was admitted to the ICU of the Hiranandani Hospital in Powai.

After the web show, Pawan & Pooja, Natasha Bharadwaj will be seen in the upcoming Mumbai Diaries 26/11 starring Konkona Sensharma and Mohit Raina. The winner of India’s Next Superstars plays a resident doctor in Nikkhil Advani’s digital series. “When I was confirmed for the role, I asked mom [Rachna], who is a doctor, to give me her lab coat and stethoscope; that’s how I broke the news to her. It was a heartwarming and overwhelming moment for both of us,” says Bharadwaj.
A promise kept
Indian Idol 12 finalist Shanmukhapriya will render a track in Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming multilingual, Liger: Saala Crossbreed. The Telugu sensation had promised the youngster that she would be singing in one of his films in a video message during the reality show’s finale. Deverakonda also invited the singer and her mother Ratnamala to his Hyderabad home. The actor’s mom Madhavi is also a fan of Shanmukhapriya.
