SRK-Raju Hirani's 'Dunki' to release alongside Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan during Christmas 2023

Have you heard? Clash once more

Pathaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

It looks like Shah Rukh Khan wants to make up for his absence from cinemas since his last outing, Zero (2018). After disrupting the 2023 line-up with the announcement of Pathaan, he’s set to own the Christmas weekend too. While his film with Rajkumar Hirani, titled Dunki, went on floors recently, he made it official with an interesting video. He shared the video online, saying, “Dear Rajkumar Hirani sir, aap toh mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. Actually, main toh set par hi rehne lagunga! Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you (sic).” He signed off saying that they are bringing Dunki to cinemas on December 22, 2023. However, the date has already been announced for Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. While it’s too early to say, who will move to avert this clash is anybody’s guess.

Friends for life

For a mother travelling long distance with two little kids, any help is welcome. Preity Zinta is no different. She was glad that good friend Hrithik Roshan was also travelling from Los Angeles to Mumbai on the same flight. Sharing a picture with her Lakshya and Koi… Mil Gaya co-actor, she wrote, “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends leave footprints in your heart.” Thanking Duggu for going out of his way and helping out with her twins Jai and Gia on such a long flight, she added, “Now I see why you are such an amazing and thoughtful father. I love you the most. From hanging out as kids to having kids, I really am proud to see how far we have come and grown together.”

How unruly is that?

How unruly is that?

Over four years ago, Varun Dhawan was issued a challan by the Mumbai Police for leaning out of his car to click selfies with fans. Recently, during the shoot of Bawaal in Kanpur, he rode a motorcycle without a helmet. As a result of this, the cops issued an e-challan to the bike owner. The film’s line producer has reportedly said that they will pay the fine. Strangely, the Kalank actor, who had apologised to Mumbai police for his error earlier, seems to be oblivious to the repercussions of riding without a helmet. He simply shared his pictures riding the bike, saying, “Kya Bawaal karte ho! Hamari photo leak kardi? Love you Kanpur. Chalo hum bhi daal dete hain (sic).” And to think actors are considered role models in our country.

Following her dreams

Following her dreams

We’ve often heard about someone running away from a small town to make it big in a metropolitan city. Arjun Reddy actor Shalini Pandey too ran away from home to pursue a career in acting. During the trailer launch of her Bollywood debut, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, she revealed that her father wanted her to study engineering. However, after a while, she felt it wasn’t working out for her and tried reasoning with her father. “For four years, I tried convincing him. But he just wasn’t letting me pursue acting. So I planned to run away from home, which I did too,” Shalini said, adding, “However, my parents are really proud of me now because I’m a part of a Yash Raj film.”

Buzz is that Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul, who have been open about their relationship, are set to tie the knot this winter. Her parents have reportedly given their blessings and his parents are fond of her too. Since Athiya’s actor-father Suniel Shetty and her beau both hail from Mangalore, she and Rahul will have south Indian wedding before the year-end.

Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu and husband Gautam Kitchlu have become parents to a baby boy. The Singham actor, who married the entrepreneur in October 2020, gave birth to their first-born on Tuesday. Sources say the mother and the baby are doing well.
