Sridevi would have turned 60 today. The veteran actress who left for her heavenly abode in 2018 is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. On the occasion of her birth anniversary, Google paid homage to the Padma Shri recipient. Google Doodle credited a Mumbai-based guest artist named Bhumika Mukherjee for a graphic tribute.

Penning a note on Sridevi's birth anniversary, Google wrote, "Sridevi forever made her mark on the film industry by charting new avenues for women to take on leading roles in Indian cinema. She will be remembered as one of the greatest Indian actors of her time."

Sharing the doodle on Twitter, Google India wrote, "We've all danced to her songs, been in awe of her performances, and tried to recreate her iconic fashion moments as #ASrideviMoment. Paying tribute to her life & legacy with this #GoogleDoodle. Tell us your favorite Sridevi film in the replies!"

The doodle paid tribute to Sridevi by recreating the iconic dance step from her song, Mere Hathon Men Nau Nau Churiyan, from the iconic Yash Chopra film Chandni (1989).

Sridevi, born in Tamil Nadu on August 13, 1963, as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyappan, started working in films at a tender age. She was just 4 years old when she acted in her first Tamil film, titled Kandhan Karunai. At the age of nine, she starred in Rani Mera Naam (1972). Establishing herself as the country's first female superstar, Sridevi acted in films like Chaalbaz, Chandni, Himmatwala, Sadma, Lamhe, Nagina, Karma, Mr India, and several others.

In 1996, Sridevi tied the knot with producer Boney Kapoor. After the birth of her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor, she took a sabbatical to focus on her family life. Judaai in 1998 was her last film before the break. In 2000, Sridevi and Boney were blessed with their second daughter named Khushi Kapoor. She made a comeback in 2013 with Gauri Shinde directed English Vinglish. Her last film was Mom (2018) for which she received a National Award posthumously.

Apart from being a National Award winner, Sridevi was honoured with Padma Shri in 2013 for her contribution to Indian cinema.
