Ekta Kapoor defined the Indian soap opera and has over the years redefined the landscape of Indian television. Donning many hats and taking on many roles and responsibilities, Kapoor is one the busiest producers in the industry, with a long line up of projects spread across different mediums.

Ekta spent last year readying multiple projects for release in 2022 including Verdict 2, Mentalhood S2, Apharan 2, Bois Locker Room, Class of 2021, A Cold Mess, Farrey, Red Suits You, HashtagWarss, Dhanbad, and Code M Season 2.
Within the television space, she returns with some fresh content and new seasons for shows like Naagin 6, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki 2, Kahan Hum Chale, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar.
She also has an interesting line-up of eight films under her production banner. While Ek Villian Returns directed by Mohit Suri is scheduled to release July this year, she collaborates with Kartik Aaryan for the first time with Freddy, a dark thriller directed by Shashanka Ghosh. Also in the pipeline is KTina headlined by Disha Patani, U Turn with Alaya F the official Hindi remake of the 2018 blockbuster Kannada thriller, Hansal Mehta’s next thriller with Kareena Kapoor Khan, her first venture following the birth of her second son and Dobaara directed by Anurag Kashyap starring Taapsee. If that wasn’t all, Ekta Kapoor also teams up with filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee, after over a decade for the sequel of their critically-acclaimed drama 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha'.
