The actress is well known for her part in Prime Video's anthology, Modern Love Mumbai. She has received a lot of praise from both fans and critics for her performance. Filming 'Modern Love: Mumbai' was an extremely special experience for the Bollywood actress who essayed the role of the simple yet powerful Latika in 'Cutting Chai', part of the six-part OTT anthology.
The actress has many cherished memories from her time filming, but one in particular stands out. Her first experience of travelling on a local train, visiting Mumbai's CST station, and exploring its historic beauty left a lasting impression. Coming from Delhi, she had never encountered anything quite like it before.
Talking about her experience, Chitrangda says: "Being a Delhiite I never travelled by Mumbai local trains and since Mumbai is very close to my heart, shooting 'Modern Love' gave me the chance to actually explore the lifeline of the city - its local trains."
"My first time in a Mumbai local was a great experience, very lively amidst all the crowd. It was also wonderful interacting with the people and listening to their stories through the course of the journey," she adds.
For the unversed, Chitrangda took a break after the release of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Her sabbatical ended in 2008 with Onir's romantic comedy, Sorry Bhai! She went on to do films like Desi Boyz in 2011, I, Me Aur Main with John Abraham in 2013, Inkaar in 2013 and Baazaar in 2019. Chitrangda made her OTT debut with Bob Biswas in 2021. Her last release was Gaslight co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey.
The movie Gaslight follows a woman's search for her missing father in her ancestral home, but she uncovers a sinister plot involving those she trusts.
