After kick-starting on Thursday, the 11th edition of Jagran Film Festival maintained its momentum on the second day. For starters, the screening of Shershaah received a standing ovation from the audience. It was followed by a discussion between Maj (Retd) Gaurav Arya with Vishal Batra, brother of Kargil hero and Param Vir Chakra awardee, Capt Vikram Batra. Vishal also highlighted that the younger generation in their family aspires to join the armed forces, sharing proud moments and encouraging them to pursue this honourable calling.

In another discussion with Anant Vijay, filmmaker Aanand L Rai highlighted the importance of going beyond unidimensional characters and stories when creating sequels or franchises, believing that the true potential for success lies in exploring the deeper aspects of their journey. Rai also elaborated on why he cast Dhanush in Raanjhanaa, highlighting his quest for an extraordinary actor for a commercial role.
