In Bollywood, the show must go on despite the odds. That’s exactly what’s happening with the shoot of Shah Rukh Khan’s yet-untitled next helmed by Atlee. The superstar was to begin shooting an elaborate action sequence at the BD Petit Parsee General Hospital in Cumballa Hill from early October (SRK checks into SoBo hospital for reel, Oct 2). However, the actor had to bow out of the commitment after son Aryan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 2, following a raid on a cruise liner. Aryan is now in Arthur Road Jail, with the Mumbai sessions court reserving its order on his bail plea till October 20. On the work front, Khan’s team apparently sent word to Atlee soon after the incident that the shoot should not be called off on his account.

It is heard that the Tamil film director and his team of assistant directors quickly reworked the schedule, and began filming scenes featuring the remaining cast members, including Nayanthara and Sunil Grover. A source from the unit reveals, “Initially, we had assumed that the shoot would be cancelled, but that didn’t happen. The team moved the proceedings to another South Mumbai location, where we have been filming key scenes that don’t feature Shah Rukh. The superstar understands that halting work will result in losses for the makers as well as income loss for daily-wagers. The unit will shoot till early next week.”
