Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, who will next be seen in the much-awaited musical drama 'Fanney Khan', has learned to play the trumpet for the same. "The trumpet is an integral part of my character in the film. My character, Fanney, plays it when he is sad or happy. So I had to make it look real. I was excited to learn a new instrument and took lessons from Ramesh Kumar Gurung. It was challenging to emote while using the instrument," said Anil.

Kapoor added, "I learned to play the harmonium from Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan. Music has played an integral part in my career. I understood melody and rhythm through the characters I have played." A one-of-its-kind musical comedy, Fanney Khan is a story about a father who wishes to fulfil the dream of his daughter, an aspirational singer.
It is after 17 years that Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are coming together for a film. The flick also stars Rajkummar Rao, who will be portraying the love interest of Aishwarya in the film. Helmed by Atul Manjrekar, the film is slated to hit the screens on August 3 this year.
