On Tuesday, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan sent his fans into a tizzy when he informed through his blog that a team of doctors was being brought in to Jodhpur to "fiddle" around with his body and "set" him up." Fortunately, the superstar has been given a clean chit by his team of doctors and reportedly has been permitted to resume shooting for Thugs of Hindostan.

Later, the senior actor also tweeted about how this illness helped him find out who his near and dear ones are. Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "Kuch kasht badha, chikitsak ko chikitsa ke liye bulana pada, ilaaj prabal, swastha hue nawal, chalo isi bahane apno ka pata chala. (Pain aggravated and had to call doctors, the treatment is complete and I am healthy as new now. Got to know my dear ones in the process)."

His wife Jaya Bachchan told the media at Parliament House in Delhi: "Amitji is fine. He has pain in the back and neck... The costumes are very heavy, so there's some pain. Otherwise, he is fine."

A unit hand from the film's set revealed to mid-day that the team had been shooting some high-octane action sequences over the past few days. "Bachchan shot the climax sequence on Monday night. The shooting went on until wee hours of the morning. He did not complain of any uneasiness then," said the source.

Thugs of Hindostan will release during Diwali 2018. The Yash Raj Films production is being helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who directed Katrina and Aamir in Dhoom: 3. It is an adaptation of the 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug.
