When Ajay Devgn arrived in Goa last week to start shooting for the Hindi version of Malayalam film 'Drishyam', he was looking forward to work at a feverish pitch. After all, it's said to be his favourite location.

But barely did the Nishikant Kamat film get rolling that the actor started struggling with high fever. Sources say he, however, has not rested — and it's not by choice.

Says a unit hand, "He had been feeling sick for the last few days and his body temperature shot up over the weekend. It is also hot and sultry in Goa now. He has been popping pills and continuing with the shoot. There is no way he can fly back to Mumbai and take time off till he recovers as it is a combination date schedule."

Shriya Saran, who plays the character of his wife, and several character artistes are also part of the current shoot schedule, adds the source. "Tabu is also likely to join the unit shortly. Even one day of rest will throw things off gear," the insider suggests.

A source close to Devgn confirms that he has been battling high fever for the last few days.
