How does one leverage the global attention bestowed upon them after the raging success of a movie? If you’re Adarsh Gourav, you steer clear of going on a signing spree; instead, choosing the next project wisely. The industry’s breakout star of the year, thanks to his compelling performance in The White Tiger, has found a worthy successive project in Zoya Akhtar’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Led by Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and him, the Arjun Varain Singh-directed venture is about three friends lost in the world of screens.

The biggest high for Gourav is to breathe life into the script developed by Akhtar, along with Singh and Reema Kagti. “Zoya Akhtar has the knack for writing characters that are every actor’s dream. She is a dynamic director who is redefining cinema. Her narratives are refreshing, and the perspective she brings forth through her cinema is thought-provoking,” he enthuses. For Gourav, it’s nothing short of “an honour” to work with her.
He believes the film will offer a unique take on the current generation that is obsessed with the digital world. After shining brighter than his seasoned co-stars in The White Tiger, Gourav will rub shoulders with his peers in the upcoming project. “It is great to have co-actors who have the same hunger as you. I hope [in] creating this film, we learn a lot together.”
