Preity Zinta who resides in America with her husband Gene Goodenough and their twins has flown down to India for the shoot of her comeback film. The actress is all set to reunite with Sunny Deol for the film 'Lahore 1947'. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film has been produced by Aamir Khan.

On Tuesday, actress Preity Zinta took to social media to share glimpses from her visit to Siddhivinayak temple. The actress mentioned that it is the best way to start something new. "Best way to start something new is by taking Ganpati Bappa’s blessings. Every time I come here, I feel a deep sense of calm and happiness. This time it was even more special cuz I had Mom with me," she wrote.
The video also had glimpses of the premises of the temple. She added, "For all of you who want to visit and have not had the opportunity here is what it looks like from inside. I hope you can come here soon cuz you will feel absolutely Amazing afterwards. A heart thank you to everyone at the Siddhivinayak Temple for such amazing darshan & for giving me these photos".

The period film boasts one of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry, as the trio of Sunny Deol, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Aamir Khan is teaming up for the first time for this project. The director while talking about Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol's reunion called it ‘accurate’. Santoshi expressed his feelings and said, “After a long time, Preity Zinta is playing a very important role on the silver screen again with Lahore, 1947. She is indeed extremely talented, one of the finest and most natural actors in our industry. Whichever character she plays, she totally invests herself into it and makes the audience feel that she is made for that character.”
He added, “Interestingly, the audience will see her again with Sunny Deol. This on-screen pair has always been immensely loved. Above all, this film's script demands a pair that is as accurate as Sunny and Preity."
On the other hand, 'Lahore 1947' also marks Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta's reunion after the 2018 action comedy Bhaiaji Superhit.
‘Lahore, 1947’ also marks the reunion of Aamir Khan and Santoshi after their iconic cult classic, 'Andaz Apna Apna'. Earlier in October 2023, Aamir Khan Productions revealed the title of the film through a note. It read, “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favorite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching.
