The lead pair of 'Phantom', Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, is supposed to attend the Australia premiere of the film, but the makers are apparently not keen to publicise their trip. Sources attribute the guarded plan to security concerns in Oz.

A source close to the film says, "The film is slated to release this week and the premiere will take place at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. It is a big attraction, but the team has decided to be as low-key as possible since the film deals with terrorism and has been banned in Pakistan. They fear there might be security issues and to avoid unwanted attention, we will go on the day of the screening and return immediately."
It is said that the makers have also made changes to the promotional plans considering the subject — 'Phantom' is based on events post the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks as documented by writer S Hussain Zaidi. Another insider says, "Saif and Katrina will be there but we don’t know about other cast members. We have made proper security arrangements and have been given an assurance by the organisers too. It is not that we are being hush-hush about it, but we hardly had time to publicise it."
The spokesperson of the film remained unavailable for comment.
