An otherwise easygoing Arshad Warsi gave curt, snide replies to journos at the trailer launch of 'Welcome To Karachi'. We list a few 'calm' Bollywood celebs who lashed out at mediapersons unexpectedly
When 'calm' Bollywood celebs lashed out at the media
They may have to endure constant flashbulbs and queries about work and their personal life, but uttering profanities is quite unbecoming of a public personality. Losing their cool over questions they wish to dodge or passing a snide remark seems to be the new norm among Bollywood celebs — even when they are not fielding personal posers.

The latest addition to the list is Arshad Warsi. He may have tried to be funny (as he claims), but it was not exactly a laughing matter for mediapersons, who were at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, 'Welcome To Karachi'. Arshad, who was battling a bad throat, was asked how the term wadthef**k used in the film was conceptualised. He retorted, "We went to the Himalayas and took a couple of hours... Silly question. Next question."

When his co-actor Jackky Bhagnani was questioned about Irrfan being replaced by Warsi, the scribe wrongly pronounced film as 'flim'. Arshad shot back, saying, "What is 'flim'? Mera toh gala kharab hai, tumhara toh dimag hi kharab hai."
Later, Arshad said, "Someone please ask a sensible question, there are so many people. One sensible question, please." He then posted on Twitter, "I upset two journalists today with my sense of humour... Guess I am going to have to leave my humour only for my friends (sic)."

Don't ask
Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane displayed uncharacteristic aggression at an event held for his last film, Hunterrr. A question about Aam Aadmi Party was asked to Bappi Lahiri, who was one of the guests, and before the musician could react, Motwane ordered that the mike be taken away from him. Though Bappida didn't seem to have any issues with the query, he had to stop himself short when he saw Motwane throwing a fit. Later, when another female scribe asked a question to Bappida, the director gesticulated that he would throw his mike at her for asking political questions.
Cold stance
While promoting his film 'Qissa', Irrfan was asked about clashing with bete noire Nawazuddin Siddiqui at the box office. He asked the reporter to stick to questions about the film, but when he persisted, the actor stormed out of the room in a huff.
Don't get personal
In May last year, Jaya Bachchan misbehaved with mediapersons when she was asked questions regarding Amitabh Bachchan's health condition.

The veteran actress not only apparently replied rudely, but also grabbed the collar of one of the members of the press. In October 2013, at a bash hosted by Subhash Ghai, when Jaya was entering the venue along with daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the paparazzi called out to the latter by her first name. But Jaya did not take kindly to it. "Aishwarya kya hota hai, huh? Is she your school friend?" she questioned the shutterbugs.
Not funny anymore
Alia Bhatt became the butt of all jokes and memes after she named Prithviraj Chavan as the President of India on a chat show.
Alia Bhatt had been taking all jokes about her 'low IQ' in a sportingly way until last year. Watch the video when Alia shot back at journos during an awards show for asking her the reason behind Holi celebrations. She asked them if they knew who the President of South Africa or China was
The actress, however, took all the bashing in her stride until she was pushed to the edge at an awards show last year. A group of journos asked her if she plays Holi. Alia replied that colours do not suit her skin, so she keeps away from the celebrations. All was well until she was asked to explain why Holi is celebrated. This got the girl upset and she went into a tirade of verbal volleys, before storming off — "Do you know who the President of South Africa is? Do you know who is China's President?"
Weighty matters
During the promotions of 'Daawat-e-Ishq' last year, which involved going on a food tour across cities, Parineeti Chopra was asked how she would control her weight with such a strategy. Parineeti apparently lost her cool and was quoted saying: "It's a ridiculous question. Had I been so conscious about my weight, I wouldn't have done the film at all."

Serial offender
Ranbir Kapoor has been involved in numerous confrontations with the media. In November last year, he is said to have attacked a TV channel crew who wanted to catch a glimpse of the actor and his rumoured ladylove Katrina Kaif outside their new house in Bandra.
Ranbir Kapoor allegedly snatched a camera from a TV channel crew for clicking pictures of him and his rumoured girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, outside their love nest in Bandra
They were entering their house when Ranbir spotted a group of journos filming them. He lost his cool and ran towards them hurling abuses. In December 2013, Ranbir lost his cool on seeing some paparazzi tailing him in the dead of night near his house in Bandra. Instead of speeding off, the actor stepped out of his vehicle and snatched the equipment of TV channel's cameraperson. He allegedly used cuss words and even challenged the scribe to come to his house the following day and collect the camera.
