Actor-comedian Vir Das is set to become the first solo comedian to kick off a world tour for his stand-up acts. Los Angeles based Levity Management, which handles artistes like Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer, has signed the 37-year-old.

Over a span of 40 days, Vir will travel to 21 cities across six countries, including Australia, US, UK, South Africa and Singapore.

Says Vir, "I have been a part of many tours, but this time, I'll be going solo. There will be one central theme that will be carried everywhere. We're in the process of scripting the content for the shows."

Vir, who was among the first few artistes to put the spotlight on stand-up comedy in India, often travels across the globe with his group, Alien Chutney, which is part of his enterprise, Weirdass Comedy.

As far as Bollywood projects go, the actor will essay the role of a Pakistani hacker in Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay'. He will also be seen opposite Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in 'Khanna Patel'.
