"In 'Nashe si chadh gayi', Vaani did a mix of salsa, hiphop and free style but now, she reinterprets the classic number in a sizzling hot avatar. She is a free-spirited girl, and has sort of interpreted herself in the classic retro song," says an insider. She rehearsed for the dance number for about 2-3 hours every day for 10 days.
Vaani says it was an "overwhelming moment" for her, adding that it's one of her most favourite songs from a Yash Chopra film. "The song's about never giving up on one's love and I had connected to it instantly when I had heard it first. Since then, I have followed my heart, chased my dreams and thankfully, God has been kind. The song is extremely special to me and I hope everyone loves my tribute to the original number."
She will next be seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in Siddharth Anand's yet untitled directorial venture.
