From making strong statements at political forums, Union Minister Kapil Sibal has now participated in a music video that spreads the message of saving the girl child
And joining in his endeavour were 20 Bollywood celebrities who featured in the video along with Sibal.

Music director Nikhil Kamath (Nikhil-Vinay fame) roped in the politician to not only pen some poems for the song titled Betiyaan but also feature in the video being made for the Ministry of Health. Some of the industry folk who joined Sibal were Ajay Devgn, Hema Malini, Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Nagarjuna and Rakyesh Mehra along with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan and others.

Says Nikhil, “I have known him for a while now. When he learnt about the song, he wanted to be a part of it and even wrote a poem on the subject. He will be reciting his verses in the video.”
The stars are said to have appeared in the music video without charging a fee. The video has been directed by Rajeev Walia.
