Time for inspiration

If you thought that cricketers idolised only cricketers, think again. India's opening batsman Gautam Gambhir says that his No 1 idol is Shahid Bhagat Singh.

He tells CS, “He has and will always be my idol. Giving up your life for your country is the biggest thing an individual can do. In cricket, there are many stalwarts I look upto, it will be unfair to name any one.

In my personal life, I look up to my parents – they have given me constant support and encouragement. I strive to be like them when I have my own children.” And with Gautam often talking about Shahid Bhagat Singh on his social networking site, it seems this inspiration runs deep. u00a0
