Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh rocked the stage at his Paris concert on September 19, wowing the crowd with his energy and charm. However, things took a surprising turn when an excited fan threw a phone on stage, hitting Diljit. Instead of getting upset, Diljit handled the situation calmly and with kindness, which has since won the hearts of fans everywhere. Diljit Dosanjh's graceful response to a fan who threw a phone at him A video of the moment popped up on social media, showing Diljit picking up the phone, giving his signature smile, and handing it back to the fan. He calmly said, “Keep your phone safe, paaji (brother). I love you brother.”  The interaction didn’t stop there. In a generous gesture, Diljit removed his jacket and threw it to the fan as a special gift, making the moment one of the highlights of his first Paris concert.  Diljit Dosanjh handles phone-throwing incident: Someone threw a Phone in the concert of Punjabi Singer #DiljitDosanjh. Diljit halted the show for a moment & then says back to a particular person not to do such things, he loves you all. Further, Diljit threw his jacket towards him as a Gift. #Punjab pic.twitter.com/H7PUAa9V1d — Akashdeep Thind (@thind_akashdeep) September 20, 2024 Fan claims she couldn’t secure tickets despite being an early bird  A female fan of Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has sent him a legal notice after not being able to secure tickets for his upcoming Dil-luminati India Tour.  Riddhima Kapoor, a law student based in the national capital accused Diljit and the organisers of his shows, Zomato, HDFC Bank, and Saregama Pvt Ltd of “manipulation for ticket prices, unfair trade practices, and scalping of tickets.” According to a report by The Free Press Journal, Kapoor mentioned in her notice that the sale of tickets was announced to take place on September 12, 1 PM. However, the sale went live at 12:59 PM. The window was to be open for 48 hours, but the tickets were sold out within an hour. She further stated even getting an HDFC Credit Card for the early bird offer but couldn’t do so.  Diljit Dosanjh’s fan calls him out for unfair trade practice  The notice read, "This abrupt and suspicious transaction strongly suggests manipulation and scalping practices. The sudden unavailability of tickets indicates that your organisation may be artificially inflating demand and manipulating prices, which constitutes an unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The practice of scalping and hoarding of tickets with an intent to resell them at inflated prices is a clear violation of consumer rights and an act of bad faith.” Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi concert ticket is being sold at Rs 1.19 lakh We did some digging and came across Viagogo, a US-based multinational ticket exchange and ticket resale brand that has listed tickets for Diljit’s Delhi concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on October 26. The most expensive ticket from the lot is for the VIP lounge which comes at a whopping price of Rs 1.19 lakh. It also offers a clear view of the singer. We earlier mentioned the highest price of tickets that were sold ethically. They came at a price tag of Rs 19,000. The VIP lounge is about a lakh more in comparison. Meanwhile, the Rs 19,000 tickets are being re-sold anywhere between Rs 83,000 to Rs 97,000 on the same website.  Following Delhi, the tour will make its way to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.

Shibani Dandekar reacts to ‘love jihad’ comments after marrying Farhan Akhtar

Actor and television presenter Shibani Dandekar along with her actor-filmmaker husband Farhan Akhtar graced close friend Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast ‘Chapter 2’ for its latest episode. The couple, who has been married for over two years got candid about their relationship. In one of the segments, Shibani reacted to the negative comments she received during her courtship with Farhan.  Shibani Dandekar reacts to ‘love jihad’ and ‘gold digger’ comments Shibani said, “When I started my relationship with Farhan, people used to say these two things to me– ‘love jihad and gold digger’. What am I supposed to do with that? I am not going to cry myself to bed because people are saying these things. I am not a gold digger, and the truth of the matter is that he does come from a Muslim home, and I do come from a Hindu home, we got married, and we are very happy with our marriage. That’s the reality of our situation. So, people can say whatever they want about us, it is what it is.” Shibani Dandekar on being questioned about her journey “I get comments like, ‘Who is she?’, ‘Who was she before marrying Farhan Akhtar?’ and I am going to sit and read that comment, and think ‘S**t, have I done anything with my life, was I anybody before I married him?’ or do I know I lived a whole 39 years before I met him. Am I going to believe some random person or am I going to believe my own journey? There is also a difference between what is true and what someone is saying to get at you, to cut you off the knees, to feel like you don’t matter, to put you in a position where you feel weak. To be able to understand and decipher that is very important,” she added.  Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar’s relationship Farhan and Shibani, who dated for almost three years, tied the knot at Farhan's family farmhouse in Khandala in the presence of close friends and family members on February 19, 2022. Farhan was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. The two got married in 2000 and parted ways in 2017. They are parents to two daughters Shakya and Akira.

In Pic: Rajiv Thakur

Rajiv was offered a part in Dunki: 'I had meeting with Hirani sir but...'

Building an entire career by being called a comedian and then entering the world of cinema with a negative role and making it convincing was definitely not an easy bet, but Rajiv Thakur has managed to wow the audience with his work in Anubhav Sinha's IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack. However, did you know this was not what Rajiv had planned as his first big project? Rather, it was Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki that Thakur had in mind for his big Bollywood debut, but some things are not meant to be. In an interview with us on Mid-Day.com, Rajiv Thakur opened up about being offered a part in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, working with Mukesh Chhabra, Anubhav Sinha, and more. Rajiv Thakur Reveals Being Offered a Role in Dunki Rajiv Thakur shares a very close bond with casting director Mukesh Chhabra. He had often asked Chhabra for work, and when it came to casting someone for Hirani's Dunki, Mukesh offered Rajiv a part and he even received a callback, saying Hirani wanted to meet him. The actor shared, "For the past year and a half, I had been pestering Paaji (Mukesh Chhabra) to at least take my audition. I would say, 'Even if you reject me, at least take the audition.' But he would always reply, 'I'll give you something when a role suited to you comes along.' So, I always thought that maybe a comedy role would come, and that’s when he’d give me a chance." "He had even given me a role in Dunki. I had cleared the auditions & received a call saying I had a meeting with Rajkumar Hirani. It was for one of the three friends. I was really happy, but the call never came again. That really hurt me, thinking that even if I got rejected, at least there should’ve been a meeting," Thakur further added. Getting the Role of a Terrorist in IC 814 After giving an amazing audition and landing the role of a terrorist in IC 814: the Kandahar Hijack, Thakur couldn't stop himself from asking Chhabra why he called him for the role of a terrorist, and the story that unfolded will blow your mind. Rajiv told us, "When my audition happened, I asked Mukesh Paaji how he even thought of me. He told me that he was under a lot of pressure and went to relax in his office, where he was watching reels. He came across one of my reels, and that’s when I came to his mind. Now, imagine, he must’ve seen a comedy reel of mine and thought, 'Let's give him a role.'" Anubhav Sinha Got Pissed After Seeing Rajiv's Audition Rajiv recalled asking Anubhav Sinha how he agreed to cast him and shared, "Anubhav sir told me, 'I got so frustrated watching your audition. I called Mukesh and asked, "Why did you send me Rajiv’s audition?" To which Mukesh replied, "Why, wasn’t it good?" Anubhav Sir then told him, "It was good, that’s why I’m calling you! Do you know my show is serious? If the audience sees Rajiv and starts laughing, my entire show will be ruined." That’s when Mukesh Chhabra convinced Anubhav Sir to cast me, and I’m thankful to both of them.'

The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Rani Mukerji, Divya Dutta, and Manoj Bajpayee. The film showcases the eternal love story of Indian Air Force pilot, Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) and a Pakistani woman, Zaara Hayaat Khan (Preity Zinta). 'Veer Zaara' was much liked for its story, performance by the cast of the movie, and music. When Rani Mukerji recalled shooting 'Veer Zaara' Taking a walk down memory lane, Rani Mukerji recalled working with her late father-in-law Yash Chopra. She said, "Just to shoot with him was an experience by itself. He was always behind the cameraman watching us and okaying the shots which was very new for me because the directors who I had worked with, used to be just very close to the monitor as that became the new age thing to do. But when I shot with Yash uncle, I realised that how they must be actually taking out work from actors. They were constantly looking at us standing next to the camera and calling for the shots. He was the only director who wanted to feed us all the time to make sure we were happy and laughing!" "Seeing Shah Rukh in the old man avatar was really awkward for both of us. Before this, I had always romanced him and in this film, he had to look at me with the imagery of a daughter and I had to look at him as a father figure, which was a bit tough," said Rani.  Recently, the audience also witnessed the re-release of films like 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein', 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Lakshya', 'Rockstar' and 'Laila Majnu'.
