Sooraj Barjatya's ambitious biopic on Tansen directed by Satish Kaushik has been put on hold. Sources in the production house reveal the reason being budget constraints.

Also casting was an issue as Abhishek Bachchan didn't commit to it.
A source reveals, "Tansen has a mammoth budget and Sooraj wants to make something on the lines of Jodhaa Akbar.
However, since Abhishek hasn't committed or shown any interest yet, the project is on ice for now."
