Tanisha Mukherjee is all set to feature in an indie film produced by a US studio. Sources reveal that Tanisha is in LA for the since the last few weeks preparing for the shoot.

Earlier this year, when the actress had accompanied Kajol for the shooting of My Name is Khan there, she'd met with a couple of local producers. They saw her previous work and agreed to cast her in the role.

A source reveals, "The role requires an Indian girl and Tanisha fits the bill. Also she's not too excited with the kind of work coming her way here, which is why she was more than willing to do this project. Tanisha is supposed to be the only Indian actor in the yet-untitled film.

Culture clash
The film tells the story of an Indian girl who's recently relocated to the US and how she comes to terms with the clash in culture." The source adds that Tanisha is presently staying in LA with a friend and will only return once the shoot is complete. "She plans to extend her stay there if required, but as of now she's gone for a couple of months"
