Take a shot at this

You might have seen elaborate village melas in Bollywood films and always wanted to be a part of them.

Shutterbug Shiresh R Karrale is giving you a chance to do just that at the ongoing Kala Ghoda festival. Step into his Annual Village Mela stall and you will be surrounded by your favourite B-town stars like SRK and Salman, sports cars and even a kala ghoda, We mean, their cut outs. CS talks to Shiresh to know more about the creative idea and his love for photography:

Stall story
The idea behind this stall was to transport people to those good-old days when the village mela was a huge attraction. I've tried to create a similar experience through my 20x17 feet tent, the only difference is that it is much trendier in keeping with the spirit of the Kala Ghoda festival. The public can come and get their pictures clicked with the cut out of their choice and they'll have it ready in 15 minutes. I use an SLR camera to click the pictures and the finished product is always neat unlike a photo from a polaroid camera.

Festive spirit
I have also displayed some of my commercial photographs in the stall. My bread and butter come from the advertising world. I work as a fashion photographer and shoot models and products for a living. But that isn't half as interesting as what I'm doing here at the festival. I'm having a blast interacting with people and it is always nice to have them compliment me on my work. All my old friends are dropping by and I am having a good time catching up with them.

No hot shot
Photography is a tool to express myself. I always wanted to pursue it. But, I can't say I've clicked the picture of my career. I don't even have a favourite shot so far. Every time I shoot something, I feel I could have done a better job at it.
