Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal began shooting for Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan in Amritsar last week. Abhishek Bachchan, who also features in the film will join the unit at a later date. Aanand L Rai's production initially starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar.

The duo had shot for the film in Shimla in early 2016. At that time, the film was being directed by Sameer Sharma. After Rai left, allegedly as he had creative differences with Sharma, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari was roped in. But the film did not take off.

Finally, in its third attempt, Manmarziyaan has rolled. Kashyap is said to have reworked on the script. Over three years on the project is back on track.
