Speaking from Nairobi after the concert on July 29, Shrivastava said, "I didn't believe I had the confidence to be on my feet for several hours on stage. But I was fine. In fact, it was fab."

Shrivastava recorded a song in Swahili with Kenyan Reggae and Blues musicianu00a0 Kevin Wyre. "I don't know a word of Swahili! But what's that they say about music having no language? I sang a whole song in Swahili with Wyre. It was called Jamona u le mhambro, which means, 'You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.'

Exhausted after his trip to Kenya, Shrivastava has postponed his next trip to the United States to investigate the mysterious death of his brother Chitresh Shrivastava, who died in a car crash in Detroit, in May. "I've appointed a good lawyer to keep me posted about the FBI investigation into my brother's death. I won't rest easy until the truth is out."
