In a bid to strengthen her position as entrepreneur, Sunny Leone is supplementing her perfume range with a line of lipsticks. The actor recently joint the likes of Jacqueline Fernandez in spreading the message of animal safety by choosing to not test products on them. In the midst of shooting for a commercial in Los Angeles for her range, StarStruck, Leone created a roadblock to further her message.
The actor, also a supporter of animal welfare group PETA India, says, "My range is animal friendly. The products have not been tested on them, and no animals were harmed in the making of this collection. If my action encourages someone [cosmetic brand] to reconsider testing their products on animals, or even buyers to avoid purchasing such products, my mission will be accomplished." Interestingly, the makers of the ad have decided to include shots of the roadblock in the commercial.
Talking about how the events unfolded, a source says, "The unit was filming in LA when large crowds gathered to see what was unfolding. The team decided to use the opportunity to further their cause. She asked those gathered if they would be willing to join hands to speak up against cosmetic testing on animals, and all of them seemed eager to lend their support. Since the traffic was light, the authorities were willing to extend their support."
The actor also distributed samples of her product to those supporting her in the awareness endeavour. Apart from that, Leone has been handing out her collection to makeup artistes to get their feedback. "While I only have the lipstick line currently, we might create other products soon. I like to ensure that an idea succeeds before moving on to the next."
