The actor to play two distinct characters film for the first time


After essaying a nostalgic role as father-son in Aag Ka Gola (1990), Sunny Deol will be essaying a full-fledged double role for the first time in a film in his three decades-long Bollywood career.



The untitled movie, slated to go on the floors in November, is being produced by Chirag Dhariwal, son of producer Mahendra Dhariwal (Maa Tujhe Salaam, Nehlle Pe Dehlla) and directed by Neeraj Pathak (Right Yaa Wrong).

Sources close to the unit state that Sunny will be playing two distinct characters one of a Punjabi Jat belonging to the same village as his dad Dharmendra is from in the Faridkot district, and the other of a character from Uttar Pradesh.

Says Mahendra Dhariwal, "I am extremely happy that my son Chirag has decided to get the project going and launch a new banner (Metro Movies). It will see Sunny Deol in a double role.

The script is good and the genre is action comedy." The rest of the cast is yet to be ascertained.
