The businessman in Sunil Shetty has resurfaced and the actor-producer today is on major expansion plans.

Big plans
Talking about it, Sunil says, "I am re-working my water resort H2O on a larger scale and am trying to open the restaurant which closed down 10 months ago. This year, we had the international jet skiing championships. It's been exciting reviving the whole thing.

We are revamping the entire space and introducing new water sports like wind surfing, water skiing, parasailing and all kind of water sports from all over the world. I want H2O to be on the international map of water sports and promote tourism in a big way."

Sunil's water sports resort has 80 fishermen working with it as certified lifeguards. "Last year, was a bit of a setback when the restaurant closed down but people who indulge in water sports need to eat too so I am getting SaltWater Grill to open too. I am working with the government to apply for permissions.

It's a new chapter today. It's a project that's close to my heart. Mumbai has such a big coastlineu00a0-- with proper planning, we can make it the numero uno destination for water sports. I love water sports and I want people from all the world coming in to enjoy what India has to offer in water sports."

What had happened?
Last year Sunil's sea-view restaurant Saltwater Grill at Girgaum had been shut down because of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) served them a termination notice, following a complaint lodged by Amit Maru, a resident of Tulsiwadi at Mahalaxmi, for violations of the Environment Protection Act, 1986, and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.
