After the Dubai authorities gave the all-clear on Tuesday morning, superstar Sridevi's body was embalmed and transported back to Mumbai. On landing, the ambulance carrying the actor's remains drove down to her Lokhandwala home. The body will be placed at Celebrations Sports Club between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm for members of the public to pay their last respects before the funeral. According to a statement issued on Tuesday evening on behalf of the Kapoor and Ayyappan families, the body will be kept for three hours at the Celebration Sports Club, Andheri west, near her residence from 9.30 a.m. onwards, to enable people and her fans to pay their last respects. Her final journey will commence at 2 p.m from the club to the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium & Hindu Cemetery at S. V. Road in Vile Parle west, where it will reach around 3.30 p.m.
As per present arrangements announced, media will not be permitted either inside the club or the crematorium. The statement was issued on behalf of Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor, their daughters Khushi and Janhvi, and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan (Sridevi's side) clans.

Sridevi passed away following accidental drowning in a bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai on Saturday night, plunging Indians, especially and her fans, into shock as the news emanated on Sunday morning.

For three days, the Dubai police authorities completed various legal and medical formalities before the body was finally handed over to the Kapoor family on Tuesday afternoon. The body, accompanied by a few close family members is expected to be flown to India late tonight in a private aircraft
