Dibakar Banerjee's path-breaking film Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD), which releases on March 19, has already generated interest with online debates and discussion on its provocative nature and content.
Apart from its many controversial scenes, the film has a steamy sex scene, which isu00a0 nothing like you've ever seen before in Hindi films. Dibakar who's busy with the postproduction of the film is sure the censors won't pass the scene and he soon plans to meet members of the censor board to talk about LSD. Song wronged?
A source who has watched the film reveals that there is a character in LSD, who comes out with a song titled, Tu Nangi Achchi Lagti Hai in the film. Even though the song is part of the film, in the music CDs the lyrics have been changed to, Tu Gandi Achchi Lagti Hai.
Dibakar confirms, "Yes, we have a song with that title playing during a particular scene. It's an integral and important part of the movie. We have a character that downloads the song on his computer and then plays it over and over. It's a song that has been banned from being played in public and hence, gets sort of a cult following."
The director hopes people will embrace the new genre he has explored with LSD. "It will shock and provoke you in the first five minutes and then you will get absorbed into it. We are living in au00a0 digital age where we are captured by circuit cameras, MMS videos etc, throughout the day. It was interesting to approach a subject like this."
Dibakar says he had the story in his mind for the last six years. "I wanted to make it even before Khosla or Oye Lucky. Now I am glad it's out of my system and out there for the people to watch it."
