Ranveer Singh's film 'Lootera' could be further delayed, as co-star Sonakshi Sinha has no free dates to give for the shoot

Ever since the beginning of work on Vikramaditya Motwane’s next, the film has made headlines. The weather at Dalhousie, where they shot the first schedule, played havoc forcing the team to flee the hill station. And now further complications could stall the film’s progress for the time being.

The film got further delayed when the film’s male lead Ranveer Singh injured himself while climbing a hill. The accident pushed back the film by two months. The unit then moved to Khanyan in West Bengal, a town known for its erratic weather.

Ranveer in the meanwhile has moved on to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus opposite Deepika Padukone and has been sporting a certain look for the film. And that is radically opposite to his look in Motwane’s film. Also, the actor has pledged 150 days for the project. And naturally now, he has simply no time to shoot for his previous film.

A source from the production house says, “There are certain portions that have to be re-shot and some new scenes have to added for the film. But now there are no dates available, as Ranveer is in his stubble and moustache look for Bhansali’s film and can give dates only after he completes shooting for this film. He will soon also have to move on to Abbas Ali Zafar’s film with Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.”

Now, there is a new complication. The dates when he is free do not match with Sonakshi’s dates. During the same time, she will be shooting with Imran Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Incidentally, during all her recent press interactions, Sona has time and again refrained from commenting on the status of the film.
