A day after her upcoming film, Force 2 releases on November 18, Sonakshi Sinha will share stage with British rock band, Coldplay, at the Global Citizen Festival of India concert in Bandra.

She is expected to render a medley of Bollywood chartbusters, although she is "yet to take a final call on the tracks". She is most likely to pick tracks she is listening to currently, or the ones that people are familiar with. "Don’t expect me to sing songs from dad's (Shatrughan Sinha) zamana. That’s vintage. The line-up will speak of my times. But the organisers have given me a free hand to select what I will render on stage."

She may be a celeb in India, but she seems like an excited child at the thought of being on stage with Coldplay. "I have enjoyed their music since my school days. My favourite numbers are Yellow, Fix You and The Scientist. Imagine growing up listening to a band, whose songs you hum, and then here you are, singing on the same stage at their concert. I better start rehearsing," she says.

While she shoots for Sunhil Sippy's 'Noor', where she plays a journalist, she is juggling a new single. "I have recorded a track, but it’s too early to talk about it. I hope to release it before the end of this year, though."

But, she knows she is an actress first. She admits she has "limitations" and "cannot sing everything under the sun". Sans training in singing, Sona first tried her hand at it with Let's Celebrate for her 2015 film, 'Tevar'. Then came the Rajj Rajj number in her recent release, Akira. "But it's not necessary I sing in every film I act in," clarifies quickly.
