Shahid Kapoor has said his next release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, is being made keeping public sentiments in mind, especially since the film's set was vandalised in two separate incidents recently.

In January, a local group in Rajasthan had attacked the filmmaker and his unit in Jaipur and also damaged the set, alleging distortion of history over the depiction of queen Padmavati. In the other incident barely 10 days ago, a group of unknown persons torched and reduced to ashes a massive outdoor film set at Masaipathar area in Kolhapur.

"Our attempt will be to shoot the film smoothly. We just hope when the film releases, people look at it in an unbiased way. After that, they can say what they want to. Sanjay sir is keeping in mind the sentiments of the people. We will not do anything that will hurt people," Shahid told reporters on the sidelines of an awards night.

Padmavati, which stars Deepika Padukone in the titular role, Shahid as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, is scheduled to release in November. "The entire year is dedicated to Padmavati. I am sure we will complete the film and bring it out sometime this year," he said.
