A court in Bhopal has issued notice to Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, whose film 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' releases on Friday, and others on a petition that accused him of involvement in misleading promotion of a shaving cream.
Petitioner Rajkumar Pandey told the media that the court had directed Shah Rukh Khan, the company concerned and two others to file their responses on his plea by August 26.
Pandey alleged that after he used the shaving cream endorsed by Shah Rukh, he suffered boils on his face and was forced to get medical treatment.
The petitioner claimed that he got the shaving cream tested from the Food and Drugs Department and found it to be substandard.
Now, Shah Rukh Khan's spokesperson has released an official statement denying the allegations. Pinkvilla quoted SRK's spokesperson as saying, "First and foremost, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan is currently not the ambassador of the said brand. The contract between the shaving cream brand and Mr. Khan terminated in April 2016. Also, we have not received any notice so far."
