Sanjay Dutt started shooting for his comeback vehicle, Bhoomi, in Agra last week, almost a year after he was released from prison. On a two-month schedule in the tourist hub, the star took some time off to go sightseeing with wife, Maanayata, and twins, Shahraan and Iqra, who were on a brief visit to Agra. Speaking to hitlist, Dutt says, "Agra is the most romantic place in the world. Visiting the Taj Mahal with my family is going to be one of my most cherished memories."
The actor adds he was humbled by the support from his family and fans. "This is probably the most important phase of my life and having my loved ones around is a blessing. It feels amazing to receive love from the locals, who gather in huge numbers to watch us shoot for Bhoomi."
Maanayata says she wanted to be with Dutt on his first day at work, but it coincided with the kids' annual sports day. "So, unfortunately, I couldn't make it. But as soon as I landed in Agra, I headed straight to the shoot location and he was in the middle of a scene. The first thought that came to mind was that he hadn't changed at all. I asked in jest if I needed to congratulate him," she says.
Visiting the Taj Mahal with Dutt was a surreal experience for her. "We weren't together for our anniversary [Feb 11] and also on Valentine's Day, so what better way than to spend time at Taj Mahal. Sanju's fans had gathered and gave him love and blessings. I felt proud and humbled," she adds.
