"I used to have zillions of tensions but when I used to see him... I remember the first meeting (after he went to jail) he said ... he calls me mom... 'in my school I have learnt never give up, it's my motto. I will survive here, you survive outside'," Manyata told reporters.

She said the fact that he has returned home would take some time for her to sink in.

"I will need some time and space to come to terms with the fact that he is back home," she said.

Sanjay said his wife suffered more than him. "I think she was suffering more as she had to be at home...bring up kids..look after them, take decisions. I was in jail," he said.

But Manyata disagreed. "I don't think I have suffered more," she said.

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is making a biopic on Dutt in which Ranbir Kapoor is playing the title role.

When asked about Ranbir playing him, Dutt said, "I love him."

The 56-year-old actor also wished his actor friend Salman Khan, recently acquitted in hit-and-run case, great success in his career.

"Salman is like my younger brother. I always pray for him and hope his problems get resolved. I wish he becomes a bigger star," he added.
