In 2002, we saw Adnan Sami and Amitabh Bachchan groove to the song Kabhi Nahin. Now, Sami is all set to cut an album of his favourite Big B songs
The playlist includes Kabhi Kabhie (Kabhi Kabhie), Tere Mere Milan Ki Yeh Raina (Abhimaan), Thodisi Jo Pee Lee Hai (Namak Halaal), Rimjhim Gire Sawan(Manzil), Inteha Ho Gayi (Sharaabi), Meet Na Mila Re Manka (Abhimaan) and Neela Aasman So Gaya(Silsila).

Sami will sing and remix these evergreen melodies, some of them, which have been sung by the Big B himself.
“I am a big fan of Mr Bachchan, and an even bigger fan of his music. The idea of doing an album came from a recent awards function where I sang and performed handpicked Bachchan numbers,” says an excited Sami.
And will we see a bit of Big B in the album? Yes. Sami plans to have him on board for a duet version of Thodisi Jo Pee Hai. “I’m re-doing songs such as Meet Na Mila Re Man Ka and Rimjhim Gire Sawan. They will sound very different from the original. I just hope the composers will take the homage in the right spirit,” says Sami. We cross our fingers, too. u00a0
