Salman Khan is an emotional guy who loves doing things for his family. The actor launches his first film blog (for Veer) as a gift to his father Salim Khan who celebrates his birthday today. Earlier he had blogged for his TV show 10 Ka Dum. Veer is being produced by Eros Entertainment and Vijay Galani.u00a0
Says Galani, "It is Salman's dream project. When we discussed the idea of blogging on his experience shooting for the film, it was Salman himself who suggested that we launch the blog on his dad's birthday. In fact, Salimsaab is one of the few people to have seen the rushes of Veer and loved it. Since it has a father-son relationship, Salman felt it apt to launch his blog on his dad's birthday. The blog will be about how Salman thought about Veer, how it started, the hurdles faced, etc."
In Sallu's own words
Galani adds that Salman had written the story of Veer quite a while back. "I had approached him for another project. He gave me a one-line narration of Veer about a love story with the father-son relationship angle against a war backdrop. I asked him for time to think about it. It's a very expensive film, requiring a lot of research and 150 days of shooting; it being a period film. All that stuff is there in the blog in Salman's own words. The blog will be written by him. We are trying to get him to blog everyday but if that's not possible, he will update it twice a week."
Salim Khan says, "I didn't know that Salman was launching his blog on my birthday. I have seen the rushes of Veer and have loved it. The film has been made on a huge canvas. Of course there's still scope for improving the film. I like the way Salman has handled the father-son relationship. He has written it well."

From Vijay Galani's blog:
Salman was so passionate about the film that even when the film's director and producer was not ascertain, the actor had approached the likes of Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav and narrated the story. Salman wanted these soaring celebs to be an integral part of the film. Initially, Big B, Sanjay Dutt and Kumar Gaurav had agreed on the colossal project, but as time took its toll, these actors couldn't take part due to their prior commitments and other projects.
