Salman Khan may have failed to break box office records with Tubelight, by drawing only Rs 42.32 crores in the first two days of its release. But, trade analysts believe the film will pick up from today. Distributor-exhibitor Akshaye Rathi tells mid-day, "The collection is significantly lesser than Salman's previous outings have earned, but, the film opened with an inherent disadvantage in the last week of Ramzan. This cuts out a huge audience. Today and tomorrow, the numbers are going to be huge. I feel, the film will collect good numbers at the box office in the long run."
Echoing a similar opinion, trade pundit Girish Wankhede says, "People always expect a thunderstorm from Salman's film. The collections on the first two days are relatively good, when one considers that Ramzan was still on. But, today is going to be huge. The potential of the film is not yet tapped."
